RE: fuse for battery on roo 233?
Have you tried just putting the battery on a charger and see what kind of read you get? Perhaps the battery is bad (won't take a charge).

Just be careful with the GVWR on the Excursion with that many passengers - that weight is going to add up. I have an excursion V10 - LOVE IT. Just playing devil's advocate. Do the math first.

I had a 2005 Burb with the same axle/engine combo and was pulling about 5500 and I did experience that same thing. Lots of downshifting on Interstate driving, approx. 65mph. County roads @ 55mph was just fine though. Agreed with the gas mileage as well, it drank a lot. I did use E85 a couple times just to experiment, and naturally, the mileage went even further south, a bit less downshifting however. In the end, I decided to get rid of the burb, though I really did like the vehicle, and got an Excursion V10......amazing difference. I'll be the first to say I am a conservative driver, and I do not like pushing the vehicles to hard. To me, the downshifting was just going to cause problems in the future.....expensive problems.

What kind of battery is it (Brand)? I had a new Northern, got it last fall, and this spring it was shot. I went back to the dealer and they had a pile of Northern batteries they were returning to the manufact. because they were faulty. As you are doing, hook it up to the charger and find out if it is taking a charge. Good luck!

I do know of the drain you are speaking of, and others are correct, it is NOT the low point drain, those are located under the slide out couch region. I have not been able to figure out what purpose that other drain has however, though I like the notion presented by RISINGSUN. did you check the sinks to see if they were wet upon your return? If you were gone for a couple hours, you would know if something was running in the sink since it would be wet.

A couple thoughts. 1. Under the pantry, access that panel and check the water connections. There are some plastic connectors (lack of better term) that you can hand tighten. Mine were loose on the first trip = water on floor.
2. Like you said, run a bead of caulk on those seams in the shower - it certainly looks better then with a "finished" look, as well as being water tight. 3. Not to sound rude, but did she have the curtain inside the tub??

On a side note, we got pounded with a storm on Sunday night, and I am VERY impressed with how the Roo did....very solid. Lots of debrid in the region from the wind, but we never had a problem!!!

With the inline filtration system, I don't worry one bit about CG water or from my tank. I do "shock" my tank and lines at the beginning and mid season as well as I grew up with well water and am just used to doing that. I have never gotten ill.

I did the same thing, I cut the head off leaving about six inches of rod left, tight 'er into the chuck on the 18v cordless and whammo...done deal. Oh yeah...mental....make sure your battery is good shape before you leave....yes, learned the hard way on that.

As above, I have a free standing table, I left it up once and it vibrated over against the cabinets. That was the last time. I have since put it down, covered it with a tarp and I put the kids boxes of toys (per DW) on the table and it works great....no worries.

Covering the RV tends to hold in moisture which is a no no for storage. that leads to mildew. And, I'd venture to guess you will never see a RV dealer cover any of theirs on the lot. Now granted, where you are geographically will vary the decision here as well. here in the midwest, we get plenty of moisture during the fall, winter and spring.

I actually had the identical trailer many moons ago, towed it with a 1/2 ton ext. cab chev. It had plenty of wiggle to it going down a straight road, and braking was a bit of an adventure...on hard brakes. I had many issues with the surge brake (just not a good design), and after discussing it with a Jayco service rep, decided to cut the brake line by the axle and just "free wheel" it. I had much much better braking after that, since my vehicle was in control of the whole deal. If at all possible, put an electric brake system on it, but otherwise I'd recommend cutting the brake line and just going free. Your 'Burb is plenty heavy to keep in control. Good luck!!!

To each their own, however I do enjoy our Excursion which supplies plenty of room for the three children (6, 2, infant) and two dogs (though one is the size of a VW). The V10 has plenty of power for towing, and the long wheel base supplies a stable towing platform. Mileage: 11-12 in the city, 15 empty hwy, 10ish pulling....depending on speed of course. I tell ya, for the amount you'd pay for a diesel (and I did own one), you can buy a LOT of gas to make up the precious mileage difference.

A 233 with a slide won't happen. In working a RV show this past winter, the Forest River Rep. was present and stated they had worked on a model as such, but the engineers could not get it to work based on balance and weight distribution. I'm not saying it won't happen in the future, just telling you what the guy told me. Believe me, you aren't the only one with that request...it would be a fantastic idea. In time I suppose.

With the Duramax, yes I did get over 20mpg, best being 22mpg running empty. In generaly highway drives, longest being 1600 miles round trip I average 18.6, NOT TOWING. Towing 6700 lbs I was getting 13-14.
